AT A GLANCE
The designs for the renovation and adaptive reuse of the facility focused on meeting the requirements of the Rhode Island Historical Preservation and Heritage Commission. Specifically, this meant restoring existing masonry, designing historically accurate new windows and guardrail systems, and recasting missing concrete elements on the building.
Vision 3 Architects was asked to assist in creating a multi-tenant office building in such a way that the historic nature of the original manufacturing building was preserved. This was especially important as the building was eligible and approved to receive state historic tax credits of 30% of the cost of the approved rehabilitation work.
