Project Description:

Providence Community Health Centers renovated the former Beaman and Smith Mill Complex as part of the new 3.5 acre Prairie Avenue Medical Campus. The mill complex consists of a two-story steel framed building constructed in 1898, and a four-story concrete structure which was built in 1917. The complex was utilized by various manufacturing companies until its closing in the mid 1990’s.

Vision 3 Architects completed architectural and engineering services for the restoration and preservation of the buildings, as well as core and shell renovations for the reuse of the buildings as a modern medical office building. The design features an abundance of natural daylight and exposed industrial steel structure and brick.

In addition to the core and shell improvements, Vision 3 completed designs for the following medical office tenants:
Hasbro Children’s Hospital Neurodevelopment Center,
Hasbro Early Intervention, Family First CEDARR
Lifespan Workforce and Youth Development
School of Medical Imaging
Lifespan Community Health Services and Community Training Center
PCHC Dental Clinic
