Project Description:

Child & Family is a private, non-profit organization offering a broad array of social service programs to families in southern Rhode Island. Their new community center consolidated multiple facilities into a single, new location. The building includes a child care center for 100 children, community meeting spaces, counseling offices, and administrative offices on two floors.

Sustainable Design:

The facility was designed to reduce overall energy consumption by 30% and is the first project in Rhode Island to utilize National Grid’s “Advanced Building Systems” rebate program, demonstrating Vision 3’s leadership in sustainable design in this region. Under this program, National Grid offers significant monetary rebates for the additional construction costs associated with the implementation of energy saving systems proven to meet the goals of the program.

Testimonial:

“I found Vision 3 very easy to work with – they are cooperative and conscientious. They paid attention to the details, and were always on top of things.

Vision 3’s approach to our project was excellent – we were all on the same team. Designing our new headquarters was a learning experience for all of us at Child and Family and Vision 3 gave us the architectural guidance we needed. Vision 3 listened to us, they were open to our ideas, and they helped us work together towards the final goal. They gave us the design we wanted. We are quite pleased with Vision 3.”
